Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. A day where thousands of people in the Netherlands buy a bouquet of flowers for someone they love. Flower growers and florists feel that love too: every day, they are ready to create the bouquet you enjoy for days on end. With care, dedication, and passion for their craft. And for that very reason, they deserve to be put in the spotlight!

In the run-up to Valentine’s Day, several growers wrote a short love letter to their own flower. In doing so, they show that the gift you give to your loved one is made with love. One of them is Jaap Moerman of Moerman Lilium. The Roselily holds a special place in his heart—especially Anouska, one of the Roselily varieties grown by Moerman Lilium. “I’m in love with my own wife, but secretly also a little bit with Anouska.

In the “Bloemenliefde” campaign, Royal FloraHolland, together with the Royal Association of Florist Retailers and Flower Auction Plantion, puts growers and florists in the spotlight. And rightly so: with passion, care, and dedication, they work every day in the nursery and in the shop.
